MIRAJ 30.80

1.    V angle

As the Miraj 30.80 donít have the same V angle as the standard one, add 2.5 mm to the front screw, large enough to fit correctly on the fuse

2.    Center of Gravity

The CG is104 mm of the leading edge. With an battery pack of 5x1200mAh, it requires less 40g of lead. For the first flights one can advance the centering of 5mm i.e. to put 25g more leadin the nose.

3.    Control set up

Positive (+) values refer to down movement of the control surface in question and are measured at root of the control surface.

4.    Flights

4.1    First flight

The first flight will be done without ballast, all the control surfaces exactly with the neutral, centering with 100mm of the leading edge.

4.2    CG tuning

Move back CG to 104mm of the leading edge according to your impressions. It will be necessary to compensate with down trim, it is normal. Familiarize yourself with the sailplane before adding ballast.

4.3    Ballast

One can ballast Miraj to fly by strong wind. The Miraj increases speed considerably. Not to exceed 700g because the turn radius will start to suffer.

Add a bit of positive camber for light slope lift. You will be surprised.
